Hankavan
Hankavan resort is situated in Kotayk Province, 85 kilometers north of Yerevan. It is located in the picturesque gorge of Marmarik river, 1900 meters above sea level. It is surrounded by mountains, which slopes are covered with lush forests and bushes.
The climate is mild: the summer is relatively warm (average temperature in July and August is 16-18°C), and winter is relatively cold (average January temperature is -7°C).
The primary methods of curing are mountain climate and mineral water "Hankavan". In resorts of Hankavan are treated stomach ailments, metabolic disorders and various other diseases.
Here you can find preserved church and VII century monuments.
